The 13th-century Persian poet, Rumi, wrote about love, longing and the inner life in ways that still feel startlingly relevant centuries later. Inspired by The Guest House, we’ll imagine ourselves as a home visited by the full range of human emotion. Joy, sadness, fear, anger, hope. Instead of deciding which feelings are welcome, we’ll practice meeting each one with curiosity. A meditation on allowing emotions to move through us without letting any single feeling become the whole story.
During the sound bath, you will relax into these nourishing feelings as you journey inward. Your meditation will be supported by the sounds of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, drums, chimes, and other ancient instruments.
This session is part three of Between the Lines, our October series exploring four poets, four distinct themes, and four different paths inward through poetry, guided meditation, and sound. Please make a reservation is required as space is limited.
